Rev. Anthony Galloway is the newly appointed pastor of Wayman AME church in north Minneapolis, MN. He is married to his lovely wife alanna galloway and together they have two beautiful children ezra and hadiyah. Rev. Galloway holds a BA degree in Ethnic Studies from Metropolitan State University, and a masters of Divinity from  Luther Seminary. He is a Senior Partner at the Dendros Group, a firm dedicated to cultural change in organizations towards equity. He is also a founding member of the Award winning "Counterstories” Podcast and radio show. He has directed educational departments and non profits and has co-authored chapters in the books More Courageous Conversations About Race,” and “Becoming an Anti-Racist School Leader.” When his high school classmate Philando Castile was killed by a police officer six blocks from his home and further still when George Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis, he shifted his focus towards healing discourse work as he answered his call to ministry and became a protest chaplain during the demonstrations in Minneapolis.

 

Rev. Galloway previously served as pulpit staff at St. James AME in St. Paul and previously pastored at st. mark ame church in duluth, mn. He serves on several boards including Save Our Sons and TruArtSpeaks cultural arts organization. Rev. Galloway is committed to exploring an Afrocentric Christian experience that is liberating, honest, and rooted in Gods ever present love.
